A foundation for doing even more good for people through contact with animals, and for the animals who give so much to us.
In 2016, Helena Isolde Sundsgård lost seven dogs in a horrific fire. It was Helena Isolde’s successful kennel that perished, with dogs that had won world exhibitions and competed in several disciplines, among other achievements. Furthermore, several of them worked as therapy and school dogs. Two of the female dogs were pregnant. The very day the fire happened, Helena Isolde decided to do something good in their name in order to survive herself.
The AnimalOOO project as a whole is designed to strengthen the role of animals in society, and the foundation’s primary purpose is to further support its own and other projects that aid both vulnerable animals and vulnerable people through contact with animals.
All of this is done in the name of the seven dogs and the unborn puppies who perished in the utterly senseless fire. No matter how unjust the fire was, it must somehow lead to something good, which is why AnimalOOO and this important foundation exist.
